Join PBL on Saturday, February 25th @ 8am-11am to hike Squaq Peak! We will be hiking Piestewa Peak, which is located @ 2701 E Squaw Peak Dr Phoenix. We will be hiking the Summit Trail. It is about 1.2 miles to the top. The trail itself is rocky, and has a stair effect. Bring plenty of water, a good pair of shoes and a great attitude :) If you need a ride, we will be arranging a carpool. If you are interested in attendeding contact Alban. Some people go there every morning before work. It's right in the middle of Phoenix. Surrounded by freeways, and neighborhoods and resorts you will find one of the most popular destinations for a hike in Phoenix: the Piestewa Peak Recreation Area. This area was recently renamed, and used to be known as Squaw Peak. The new name was given memory of Lori Piestewa, a Tuba City soldier who gave her life in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Are you ready to kick it up a notch? Well on Friday and Saturday, March 30-31 PBL will be competing in the 42nd Annual State Leadership Conference. This conference will be held at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ. The deadline to register is February 22nd!
